No More Guns in the Valley

I took time to watch Logan last week.  This is supposedly the last Wolverine installment with Hugh Jackman.  I must say that this movie is my top favorite for 2017.  The movie sets the scene of a future where mutants no longer exist.  An older wolverine is barely holding on and pretty much waiting to die.  Logan comes across a woman in desperate need of help named Gabriella.  During this moment, he comes across a young girl who he later comes to learn that is his daughter, Laura/X-23, who was created through science.    The story line was excellent.  The actors made the movie for me.  I became encapsulated with the movie which I have not been able to do in a long time and trust me I  watch a lot of movies.  The subtle moments during the movie with snippets of old movies such as Shane.  The movie is symbolic of how versatile Marvel can be with their characters, stories, and movies.  They remain the kings of the comic-verse for me.  The only question left is who will be the new Wolv

SuperBowl Weekend

I am finally over the devastating lose to the Patriots this past Sunday.  To celebrate the Atlanta Falcons return to the Superbowl in over a decade some high school buddies and I went to Houston.  The city was alive with a surprising number of people cheering on the Falcons.  We spent the majority of our time celebrating at a place called Warehouse Live.  I must admit that for a place with no windows I was thinking I hope nothing happens.  Besides that the place took me back to my high school days with songs from artist such as Outkast and Kilo Ali. Game Day was stressful.  For the Falcons being the underdog; it was a constant thought of all we have to do is start good.  Unfortunately, that is what we did.  First half was amazing by the Falcons, but second half was dreadful.  The Falcon's defense some how just ran out of gas to stop the Patriots from creating an explosive offensive front.  It felt like Matt Ryan and the offense could not put a solid run of plays together to at le

Happy New Year

I am excited to have another year on this earth.  This is going to be an interesting one too.  New president, big changes, and definitely new challenges.  One of the biggest is to continue to writing to this blog consistently.  My major goal for the blog this year will be something I have promised myself I would do after I got out of law school.  "Get back into shape!"  Hopefully, my few readers will keep me accountable to it. I am currently on a fast with my church.  That has brought on challenges within itself.  Though it has only been a week I have appreciated being able to go without meat.  I felt that would be the hardest task during this three week period.  I have dropped 5 lbs so far so that is good right?  I have also been getting myself to the gym, which I know goes a long way toward my weight goals. Hopefully, the next time I report I have more good news!  Have a blessed new year family!

November Goals

I am a strong believer in goals.  To give a little of my background I am a patent examiner new to the Dallas, TX area.  I just finished a part-time law school program.  The problem is that I was so hardcore that a program that normally takes four years I finished in three.  To accomplish that I developed a couple of bad habits.  Bad eating habits, sleeping habits, and the list could go on.  This month, I just want to take it to the basics.  The mantra for this month is consistency.  Consistently eating healthy, consistently going to bed on time, and consistently keeping consistent.  Developing some good habits to get back to my best performance.
